Alison talked to us about meeting her co-founder while they both worked in the conversational AI field, and why they eventually decided to leave it to work on a medical device startup. Alison and Audrey built Dioptra, which was focused on redesigning a speculum to be more comfortable and easier to clean.



Alison discussed how Dioptra became a jumping off point for disrupting the entire landscape of maternal and pregnancy care. She also shares how the process of pivoting from medical hardware product to a B2C prenatal and postpartum services company looked like for them.
